Sorry, there are cuss words in this rant, so I suggest those who do not like reading swear words to back off for a day because I promise this blog will be gone tomorrow
. It is simply something that I needed to get out of my mind- OH most of you haven't read my blog from yesterday because I received comments from only 3 different people, so if you want to get away from this blog, simply scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Before".Hi there. This rant is slightly inspired by community channel (
youtube is currently down I'll get the link up to work after youtube comes back) from youtube because I guess the way I talk is slightly similar idk if it's noticeable, however, you should check out her youtube page, she's awesome.
So I'm sure most of you noticed the banner on the right- yea, the rev.iew.me. That website is very appealing and I decided that I am going to join. And so I did. However, what I didn't notice was the people there that were reviewing sites. I reviewed some sites myself out of honesty and I'm so positive everyone does, however, after reading reviews after reviews on different sites, I started realizing how people are starting to sound like they're talking shit about the other person's website. You want to know what I mean by that? It's not something like: (
examples)
I don't like how you used those colors on your layout. It's something more like:
WTF (why the fuck) is that there? Your website sucks, sorry. No one actually said the following quotes above, however, there are reviews that are similar to the stuff I just said and first off, why
sorry? You're sorry that you offended the other person's website? Shit, then don't say it in the first place. Secondly, the
why the fuck is not necessary when reviewing. To remind everyone, reviewing is
constructive criticism, not
let's-go-shit-on-that-person criticism. By saying WTF, you're definitely lowering the other person's confidence towards their website which is not constructive,
it's far from it.
Another thing I notice is that 5 stars are
rarely given. I see people dropping stars because apparently someone uses something that's not within "the latest trend". What I mean is stuff like iframe, haloscan, etc. It's not like you
can't visit their site with iframe and no their site isn't ugly with iframe either. Hell, they may even have better contents then you do. Haloscan, good heavens, is a fucking commenting system. As long as you can comment, no shit is happening, yea? So anyone who's going to mark me down for a simple difference in doing something that's not "within the trend",
fuck off, seriously, I like my website.. infact, I'm considering not to put my website up there anymore. That's not a permanent decision, however, it is definitely something that I'm leaning towards right at the moment...
but you guys get what I mean, right? It's like tae-kwon-do where you first bow with
respect and then beat the shit out of eachother. Well, it's kind of like that, except opposite for reviewing. They beat the shit out of you first
and then give you the respectful bow by saying something like
but hey, your site has HOPE. Or what's even more funny is that they say
keep up the good work after they talk about how shitty your website was. Wouldn't that be considered more like an
insult? idk the people there are too strong, so I think I'm going to just stay away for a while and like I said from my last blog, I'll probably add my site when I get to version 18.0. Yea, I'm not going to listen to what anyone says about how to change my website. I'm just going to pay attention to reviews that suggests
adding something that might make my website "cooler" than the now.
So with that, I believe my mind is free of any rants, so I am going to head off to bed now, and I wish you guys the best of luck with being reviewed to those who has already added their site up there.
